Krewe of Gladiators

               Formed in 1973, this traditionally all-male krewe officially opens the St. Bernard Parish parade season.  Originally formed by St. Bernard professionals and businessmen,  the krewe takes its name from the Roman warriors, fabled in story and song for the bravery and strength.

Mardi Gras Returns to St. Bernard

The Krewe of Gladiators will bring back the traditional family clelbration to St. Bernard in 2010.  Get the barbeque pits and the ice chests ready and get ready to party as the safe and fun celebration for Mardi Gras returns to St. Bernard.

 

For as Little as $2,600.00 a group of 16 riders can parade with costumes provided by the Krewe.

 

Large floats are available for $3,000.00, which hold up to 35 riders.

 

Everyone is invited:  children, grandma, grandpa - the whole family can ride on one float together.

 

Trucks are also proivided to ride with us for $175.00.

 

WE NEED RIDERS

In order to present a parade which will make St. Bernard the place to have fun on Mardi Gras Day for the whole family in a truly safe setting.

A meeting will be held at Rocky and Carlos on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 7:00 pm for all members - past, present and future - who are interested in parading.

This is an important meeting everyone who would like to ride on Mardi Gras Day needs to attend and put some money down to hold their position.
